Tourist development of Sió

Water, economic and tourist development of the Sió canal is one of the priority projects of Tolna County, the water management of the canal is part of the national concept. Sió touches the administrative border of Szekszárd and crosses the Gemenci forest and flows into the Danube. The Sió project is a complex development across a large part of the county, the end point of which touches Szekszárd in front of the Danube, where the city centre, the wine region and the Gemenc can be very attractive sights and programs for tourists. In order to implement the Sió project, the County is planning its own project in the area of the county-righted city, which is supported by the Municipality of Szekszárd County. The objective, professional and technical content of the development justifies the construction of the Sió project and the related tourist service centre (base), which ensures the tourist recovery of many settlements in the county, as well as the missing touristic route links to help the exploration of the tourist attraction. In a consortium with Szekszárd Kayak-Kenu Sports Association, the county and the town with county rights wish to implement the project, in the framework of which a new tourist service centre will be built, providing full service to existing and newly established stops and exits and related water and cycling services in Sió settlements. The idea of the development of a plot of 3 495 m² in Szekszárd-Palán, owned by the Kayak-Kenu Sports Association Szekszárd (hrsz: 01633/3, directly on the Sió coast) a complex tourist service centre should be set up to allow three modes of transport (water, boots, bicycles) to enter Sió and the settlements in its catchment area and learn about its environmental and cultural values. The planned facility and its additional elements would provide an alternative to water sports, nature, movement, or simply community life in all seasons. The planned development is phase II of the Sió project. The tender covering the first phase of the Sió project has already been submitted by the Tolna County Municipality for the tourism measure of the TOP. Its aim is to establish a unique water route in Sión, where both the characteristics of the route (non-waving, drifting, not deep) and the already existing attractions (Ozorai, Simontornyai Castle, Sióagárd cellar village, Gemenci forest, etc.) are realised. The attraction is complemented by a bicycle path along the Sió region. SZMJVÖ would develop the last stop of the Sió Water Route as part of the project, where people seeking nature, water, sports and recreation can arrive not only on water, but also by bicycle, on foot and by car. Among the activities that can be supported independently: a solid paved road is being built in order to reach the site and the Sió, there are parking lots on the affected plot, we provide drinking water supply to the area, and we build a modular floating plant. The related service facilities include the indoor bicycle storage and the construction of the yard movement developer. Within the purchase of equipment, we design hiking equipment, playground and leisure equipment, outdoor furniture elements and indoor bicycle storage. The purchase of equipment provides the development of optional activities, such as fireplaces or waste collectors, which can be included in the activities that can be independently supported. The application is submitted in a consortium with the Szekszárd Kajak-Kenu Sports Association, who acquires the tour equipment, while the other listed equipment and the building project elements are implemented by SZMJVÖ. In the framework of the county project, only the internal equipment of the service centre is included in the procurement of equipment. The water-touring equipment purchased by the association will be put in the service of Sió and water tourism within the framework of Sió-tours, while bicycles can be organised along the Sió route. The garden furniture makes it possible to relax after the tour, thanks to the mobile stoves it is possible to cook and cook, and waste collectors are essential because of the cleanliness of the environment. In order to expand the target group, the indoor bicycle storage facility is established for smaller people as a yard motion development game and a related service facility. The port to be established as part of the project and the other Sió stations of the county project also serve the water-tourism utilisation and knowledge of the canal for recreation purposes. The project is a complex service system along with the planned tour bases and tour centers, where schoolchildren can be taken out and children can be trained. Nature, the approach to local values and the dissemination of local values with the goal of achieving water, as a result of which the use of cars is reduced, so the development also has a positive environmental impact. In the framework of a cooperation agreement, we created synergies between the county and urban TOP proj...
