Veszprém Zoo is Hungary’s most traditional country zoo. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Central Transdanubia Region. The Zoo, which offers an unforgettable experience for both small and large people, opened the gates of the Zoo with special natural features on 1 August 1958, which was built with a huge social cooperation in just five months. The two-part Zoo was located in the Fejes Valley at the time of its establishment, but in recent years it has also expanded territorially, and its developments have taken place on the adjacent Gulya Hill. In the Fejes valley area, the housing of animals is outdated, under conditions that do not comply with modern rearing standards. During the modernisation of the housing conditions, it is appropriate to renew their housing, to create large runways that evoke their natural living conditions and to create modern animal houses. Kittenberger Kálmán Nonprofit Ltd. has developed a multi-stage plan for the implementation of the renewal process, for which it seeks to use all possible financial resources. The major project “ZooEvolution” implemented in 2014-15 was the largest development of the zoo so far, with 6 project elements being implemented. (Elephant House, Bird Ride, Rhinoceros House, Watery Living World, Landscape and Guest Park toilet). Then we created a dinosaur park for non-repayable NFM assistance years. Together with the City of Veszprém County Rights, a new economic court, a je chest house and autopsy, a new camel runway, an old camel runway, a training house and a house of knowledge will be realised in the framework of the Modern Cities Program. We intend to implement the following pace within the framework of this project, during which the new bear run in the Fejes Valley, the visual runway VI. project element for mountain ruminants, the current bear run in project element VII. will be reconstructed to present the mountain ruminant animals. On Gulyadomb, a new lion house and a runway, a project element called V., a petting zoo and dromedár runway will be built, and the Lake Savannah and the tree over it will be renewed, an adventure playground is created, as well as the new guest traffic entrance and the changing roads and landscapes. The planned improvements will not stop because there are further improvements in the design phase, such as a cat runway. The necessary human resources are available. A tourism expert will be involved in the development of the technical content of the project and in the implementation, who will be employed during the maintenance period. The Zoo provides opportunities for businesses. 9 catering units, 3 commemorative coin printing and a zoo memorial photo service are carried out by contractors in rental construction. 4 souvenir shops operate in the own operation of the Zoo. The project promoter implements a wide-ranging cooperation with businesses and information points interested in tourism. He is a member of the regional TDM organisation. The project promoter has an equal opportunities plan. In view of the nearly 41 billion HUF development of the Budapest Zoo, rural zoos were disadvantaged from a tourist point of view. This 1.5 billion grant can be the first step in a long-term development programme, which will reduce the large market disadvantage of Veszprém Zoo to a small extent. Hopefully, our market backlog will be reduced. The zoo has the potential to reach out to a high-population target group open to quality natural values, thus ensuring the possibility of increasing direct and indirect revenues. Based on an active partnership, the aim of the project is to expand the tourist offer of Veszprém and its region and to increase the visibility of the attractions based on natural heritage and to reduce the negative effects of seasonality. This will improve the economic capacity of the city and its region. The operational objective of the project is to ensure that the synergy of developments in the zoo as a new supply element contributes not only to the improvement of the quality of life of tourists but also to the improvement of their labour market situation. On mandatory non-eligible activities to be carried out on its own: 1. As part of an attractive business marketing activity, billboards, leaflets, mobile apps, as well as image advertisements paid in local media are implemented. 2. In the framework of accessibility, we plan to implement accessibility for new construction. The majority of the animal housing facilities do not have a closed visitor space and therefore the accessibility of these facilities
