Transport development of industrial areas in Tatabánya

Detailed technical content of the project: In the project we intend to implement two project elements that are physically and in time separate from each other. The renovation of the Búzavirág road, which provides access to the Tatabánya Industrial Park, is planned in time from June 2017 until November 2017, the estimated cost of the construction is HUF 352 million. The project element is considered to be an activity within the meaning of point B) of the call for self-eligible activities. The other project element is the investments for the accessibility of the industrial site VI-VII (transport development of the Gala Industrial Zone), in this case the construction of the siding and the settlement of ownership requires a longer period of preparation, so we plan to implement this construction from September 2017 to September 2018. Road renovations planned as part of the project component (Mikovinyi út, Tatai út) are considered as actions under point B) of the Call 3.1.1 Self-eligible activities. The construction of a new junction and the construction of a junction fall within the category of activity referred to in point 3.2.2. of the Call. The project will be implemented by the Municipality of Tatabánya and a consortium formed by the Economic Development Organisation, which is indirectly owned by 100 %. Project management is carried out by the Economic Development Organisation with its own staff, and the procurement of other services necessary for the implementation of the project (e.g. technical inspector) is also its task. The self-sufficiency of the project will be provided by the Municipality of Tatabánya, with county rights, in accordance with the resolution of the General Assembly. Transport development of Tatabánya Industrial Park — Renovation of Búzavirág Road The Tatabánya Industrial Park was established in 1997 at the initiative of the MJV Municipality of Tatabánya. It was created to help the city and its environment with employment problems in an effective way — an active tool for creating new jobs, technological progress, and creating and maintaining a diversified industrial structure. The industrial park was built on the western edge of the city, next to the Kertváros district, 3.5 km from the M1 motorway, and is now directly accessible from the Tata-Környe exit. To approach Tatabánya, a road connection was established, the Búzavirág Road was built from the direction of the city, which was extended with the continuous settlement of the plants to the administrative border of Tatabánya. In parallel with the developments, in order to meet the needs of the expansion, the Orgonás Road and the Glass Factory Road were constructed in the continuation of the Búzavirág út, thus the industrial park was connected to the national road No 8119, so the road connection to the M1 motorway was established. In the course of the development, a network was developed, which is the backbone of the Búzavirág út — Organic Road — Glass Factory Road, which is connected to the further roads within the industrial park. Wheat Flower Road is the oldest built road of the Industrial Park, which was built in accordance with the requirements of that time. With the significant increase in traffic, it became necessary several times to modernise the road in line with the traffic needs, which was implemented by the municipality, so the capacity of the pedestrian and bicycle paths and the public transport stops were continuously increased. On Búzavirág Road there are two pairs of buses, which are suitable for stopping 2-3 articulated buses at the same time. Since the industrial park from Tatabánya was only accessible from the beginning through the wheat flower road, it has never been possible to completely renovate the road pavements used by the motor vehicles. The Tatabánya-Környe Industrial Park currently works ~ 10,000 people, most of whom continue to go to the industrial park from Tatabánya to work through the wheat flower road. This traffic is a significant load, and the condition of the road is constantly worsened by the heavy freight traffic serving the producing companies. Since construction, the permissible axle load for lorries has increased from 10 to 11.5 tonnes, which means additional stress. In order to develop the city’s economy, to meet the development needs of companies previously established in the industrial park and to set up new companies, it is essential to provide adequate infrastructure in order to develop the economy and increase the number of employees. To this end, the aim is to renovate and strengthen the covering of the Búzavirág road, and in the current design, it is no longer possible to expand the capacity properly, and therefore a comprehensive modernisation of the road is necessary. The modernisation includes the renovation and reinforcement of the asphalt covering of Búzavirág utca, and the replacement of the entire track structure in the necessary places on a stretch of 1.85 km. This will e...
