The Szekszárd Children’s Chain Nursery School in Szőlőhegy (Kindergarten Street) plays an important role in the southern part of the city: the institution, which is away from the city centre, offers an optimal solution for many families with regard to the kindergarten. The building is very old and outdated, with few renovation and modernisation investments in recent decades. From an energy point of view, it needs to be completely refurbished. In Szekszárd there is also a shortage of seats in the Children Chain Nursery Kindergarten Street Member Institution, so due to mandatory kindergarten training, in order to overcome the shortage of seats, it is justified to increase capacity due to compliance with the provisions of the Public Education Act. Furthermore, the Kindergarten at Szekszárd, Kindergarten No. 5 was built in 1905, the building does not have all the localities required for the performance of the kindergarten tasks according to the applicable regulations. There’s no gym room in the building, but it’s a professional rule. Due to the technical condition of the building (no heat insulated doors, walls or slabs) the renovation is also warranted. The building’s load-bearing structures are in good condition, but the current heat engineering requirements are not met by external delimitation structures (the walls and slabs are uninsulated). Existing wooden doors and windows are also outdated and old. There is also a need for replacement of the roof. Several existing rooms have worn out the coverings. Both the electrical network and the mechanical system need to be renovated. In the other Member institutions of the institution, the extension of the group room on the property is not technically possible. In relation to the Children Chain Kindergarten street member institution, there is a well-founded need for seats, the number of children not admitted in the last three years is 5 in 2013, 6 in 2014, 11 in 2015 (10 in 2013, 13 in 2014 and 22 in 2015). After registration on 24-25 April 2016, 3 specific and 7 possible additional needs were identified. Currently, the kindergarten has a group of 28 people. There is a group kindergarten and two family crèches of the foundation in the building located on the property at 5794/2 district of Szekszárd, Kindergarten street 5. The call also provides an opportunity to support, in addition to institutional developments (cradle, mini crèche, kindergarten-cradle as a multi-purpose institution) forms of crèche that can be created with more flexible and simpler operating conditions, including family crèches, in order to develop the most efficient solution based on local needs in the given area and in the municipality. During the extension of the existing building, the kindergarten will be supplemented by a group room and the necessary additional rooms (water block, changing room, etc.), as well as the gym room, medical room and isolation room necessary for the operation of both groups. “JASZLICE” Family Services Public Benefit Foundation runs the crèche facility. The crèche section will be expanded with an additional group room and the necessary service rooms. At the same time as the extension of the building part of the building will be renovated and upgraded (replacement of opening barriers, thermal insulation of the external facade and attic floor, interior engineering and modernisation of the electrical system). Modernisation of the existing building part of the building’s internal building engineering and electrical system; the existing outdated lighting system would be replaced by the construction of a modern system, which would provide a more energy-saving solution; a significant part of the electricity consumed by the institution will be provided by the solar system to be installed within the framework of the project; the current gas heating will be replaced by a modern heat pump system, which will result in significant fossil-energy savings; equipment procurement. The 336 m² heated building is supplied by a gas-heated central boiler. From an energy point of view, it is classified as HH (currently 446.9 kWh/m2a instead of 116 kWh/m2a). The kitchen is also renovated in the building, both on the part of the kindergarten and on the part of the nursery. In kindergarten, 27 (children)+ 5 (working) doses are served, 14 doses in the crèche. Refurbishment of playgrounds, fences. Access to the courtyard is only possible on a paved road and the property does not have its own private car park.
