The Municipality of Győr submits the application for funding, and if the application is awarded, the development will be carried out in the form of a consortium. The consortium partner is the House of Generation Culture Centre. The aid amount requested is HUF 671 000 000, which covers part of the total budget of the project. The Municipality will contribute its own contribution of HUF 16 775 000 to the successful implementation of the project; thus, the total amount of the investment is HUF 687 775 000 gross. The aim of the project is to improve the environmental status of the city of Győr, to renew the green surfaces and the related municipal infrastructure elements in the designated action area. Under the project, the House of Generations and Eötvös Park, 100 % owned by the municipality, will be renewed in accordance with the objectives set out in the call for proposals. The action area of the project is the downtown of Győr, where you can find both areas affected by the development. As a result of the developments, the area of the famous and busy park in the centre of the city will be suitable for families and young people to spend their free time usefully. The developments serve the requirements of environmental sustainability, thereby contributing to the creation and economical maintenance of the urban green environment. In addition to an environmentally sustainable urban environment, interventions contribute to creating a municipal image that attracts businesses, investors and tourists in addition to the local population. Description of activities to be implemented: 1. Reconstruction of the urban green infrastructure network (Eötvös park): Increase of plant surface, habitats and biodiversity, reconstruction of green surface plant stock, urban climate, deciduous deciduous, climate-tolerant tree rows, shrubbands, multi-level green surfaces, development of active urban recreational green areas. 2. Renovation of the House of Generations, 100 % municipally owned, located in the action area, in a climate-conscious, energy-efficient way (economic recovery activity). Accessibility in the House of Generations. Publicity for all project elements throughout the duration of the project. Implement soft programme elements accompanying infrastructure interventions. The implementation of the project does not entail climate risk.
