The aim of the project is to develop environmentally friendly transport so that the inhabitants of the city can live in a clean and sustainable environment. The increase in the number of cyclists will contribute to improving the quality of life of the city, to improve air quality by replacing part of the car traffic, to reduce CO2 emissions, vibration, dust and noise loads. Regular daily exercise due to cycling also contributes to the preservation of health. With the construction of Stage IV of the cycle path, a cycle traffic network for safe traffic across the city as a whole (north-south) will be created and accessible to the entire population. The realisation of the investment will also contribute to promoting green labour mobility. The investment is carried out in accordance with the Integrated Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Salgótarján. Self-eligible activity: — transforming the transport road network of a whole municipality or part of a municipality into a cyclist-friendly activity through the construction of bicycle traffic facilities is not self-eligible: — building a walking path along the bike path Professional content: In 2008, we prepared an authorisation plan for the 8 902 m long “Salgótarján, north-south road safety cycle path”. With the final building permit, the 7 170 m section has been implemented in 3 stages in the last years from the southern direction to Kékkői út. The planned stage IV runs from the end of Stage III (Kékkői út, 7+ 170 km) to the final section (8+ 902 km) according to the permit plan documentation, with a length of 1 732 m. from Kékkői út in the north direction of Füleki út (211 national road) it runs on the left side of Füleki út (national road no. 21) to the Beszterce residential intersection, then from there, crossing Füleki út with a designated pedestrian crossing point, further northward on the right side of Füleki út (national road No 21) to the end section. Moving from Kékkői út to the Tarján stream, a separate, 2.6 m wide cycle path will be established, and then on to the Bistrice housing estate circular junction. The width of the cycle path is 2.0 m, the width of the footpath is 1.6 m. The pavement is placed next to the residential properties on this stretch, while the cycle path is on the side of the road. An exception to this is the bus stop, where their location is replaced. From the Beszterce residential junction to Camping Road, the cycle path is 2.0 m wide, on the first section of about 100 m between the road and the pavement in front of the real estate, on an independent track, then it is returned to the sidewalk due to the narrower locational features. The width of the pavement is 1.6 m to the designated pedestrian crossing point at the 8+ 045 km section of the cycle road, then from there to the northern end of the bus stop (due to the larger pedestrian traffic) 2.6 m. From the northern end of the bus stop the pavement width is 2.1 m. From the designated pedestrian crossing point in the section of the cycle path 8+ 045 km to Camping Road, the pedestrian crossing point and the bus stop is in front of the properties, and the footwalk is placed next to the road. There is no longer any reason to replace their location after the bus stop, as there are no other residential properties on this section. From Camping Road to the final section, there is a 2.6 m wide independent cycle path. In connection with the investment, the bus stop in the 7+ 510 km section will be relocated to a small extent, the fence at the 8+ 120 km section will be rebuilt and the terrain staircase in the 8+ 140 km section will be rebuilt. A barrier will be relocated due to sinkhole mines and road safety aspects. The pavement of the bike path is AC 8 asphalt cladding, the pavement is paved with square stone. The construction of an artifact is required in the 7+ 393, 7+ 588 and 8+ 879 km sections of the cycle path.
