A) Purpose of the project The aim of the project is to achieve a cycling route from Síkvölgyi út (an existing cycling facility) through Dózsa György street, to the already existing cycling facility in Erdész Street. In this way, a bicycle connection is established from the plain valley cemetery to the Tatabánya-Tata cycle path. In addition to the main cycling route, there are various bicycle facilities in Bánhida, so that the part of the city connects not only towards Dózsakert, but also towards the Gál István housing estate, on the existing main cycling route that crosses the city. The development will thus make the whole part of the village in Nyhida more friendly. If implemented, the project is an important step for the inhabitants of the districts of Bánhida and Dózsakert to access one of the alternative modes of transport. The development will facilitate the availability of city centre services (e.g. hospital) and tourist attractions in Bánhida for those coming from Tata, Dózsakert and the suburbs. We connect the population of Banhida to the existing and planned urban cycling route network. We help workers in the flat valley plants and the industrial park next to the suburbs to get to work with bicycles. The project contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions by favouring the use of an alternative, environmentally friendly means of transport, which is reinforced by the planned awareness-raising activities of the project. B) The professional-technical content of the project, together with the presentation of the selected independently eligible activities, is the establishment of 1 unseparated walking and cycling path in Síkvölgyi street, joining the cycle path from the flat valley.
