The pedestrian traffic in the József Attila promenade is significant. On the broken, sunk, degraded pavement, traffic is dangerous. The root system of the trees currently in place plays a role in the development of this condition, which have broken and pressed the surfaces covered by the pavement during the growth process, both in terms of the promenade and the parking lot. Accordingly, in order to achieve safe, accident-free transport, it is necessary to renew the surface and vegetation of the area, with the aim of complementing and not hindering the function of the promenade and the vegetation present there. The part of the planned renovation of the recreation area is that street furniture that fits the city image, as well as as a novel element the ethos of the promenade and the cultural background of the stone pillars with poems by Attila József, as well as a uniquely manufactured, relatively large bench and stone construction that evokes a waterfront atmosphere, will be installed, since the location of this area in the city centre justifies the development of a community meeting point and an increase in the utilisation of existing capacities. During the preparation of the project, the target group of the project and some civil society organisations were consulted on the development, the identification of the target area was carried out and the technical assessment was carried out. The professional foundation document and the designer’s cost estimate have been prepared. The target group of the project is the population of the town of Nagyatad. Activities to be implemented: Self-eligible activities 1. Development of urban community meeting points for active recreation — the planned cost of the activity is 72.10 % of the total cost. Demolition of the current degraded pavement of Attila József promenade, construction of a new pavement, new community meeting point, planting of vegetation. Mandatory non-eligible activities to be carried out on its own: 2. Project management activity — the cost planned for the activity is 2.49 % of the total cost. technical and financial coordination of the project. 3. Accessibility — the planned cost of the action is 0.39 % of the total cost. the design of parking spaces with reduced mobility. 4. Compliance with horizontal requirements — the cost planned for the activity is 0 % of the total cost. compliance with the horizontal objectives set out in the call. 5. Provision of information and publicity — the planned cost of the action is 0.32 % of the total cost. provision of information and publicity as requested. Optional, ineligible actions 6. Acquisition of equipment — the planned cost of the activity is 21.22 % of the total cost. purchase of equipment necessary for the implementation of the development on the basis of the list of equipment annexed to the application form. The technical content planned to be implemented during the development: — the construction of a new pavement (640 m²); — postmarked stone column and stone block (7 pieces); — planting of a seedling (12 pieces); — planting of shrubs and evergreen shrubs (200 pieces); — installation of street furniture (1 bench made individually, 6 garden benches, 6 garbage collectors); — installation of a parking space for disabled persons (2 pcs). The costs of maintaining the resulting developments are borne by the project promoter, which are planned in the annual budget of the Municipality of Nagyatád.
