Subtitle: Bridging the IT Skills Gap by Uncovering Hidden Talent
Overview: TechGrounds West is an initiative based in Amsterdam's Nieuw-West district, aiming to address the mismatch in the IT labor market by identifying and nurturing untapped talent. The project offers a comprehensive pathway from orientation to training, enabling individuals without prior IT experience to embark on careers in the tech industry. By establishing tech hubs in underserved neighborhoods, TechGrounds West fosters diversity and inclusion within the tech sector.

Objectives:
- Identify Hidden Talent: Discover individuals with potential in IT who may not have traditional educational backgrounds or access to tech opportunities.
- Provide Accessible Training: Offer free or low-cost training programs that equip participants with relevant IT skills.
- Facilitate Employment: Connect graduates with employment opportunities in the tech industry, addressing labor shortages and promoting economic growth.
- Promote Diversity: Increase representation of underrepresented groups in the tech sector by focusing on inclusive recruitment and training practices.

Impact: Since its inception in 2019, TechGrounds West has trained 227 individuals in Amsterdam's Nieuw-West district, with 60% of participants securing employment in the IT sector. The project has expanded to other cities, including Utrecht, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, and Almere, replicating its success in bridging the IT skills gap and promoting diversity.
