The COVID-19 pandemic has put greater demands on innovation for many companies in many sectors. Innovation and development are in many cases crucial for the survival of individual companies. Digitalisation in the form of digital buying and sales processes and business models is more relevant than ever when social distancing is advocated. In addition, a structural change is under way in which customers increasingly demand more sustainable and efficient services and products. The project will meet the above challenges by inspiring and raising the level of knowledge in participating companies regarding the ability to change. The main focus is on the importance of digital and green transitions through increased resource efficiency and sustainable solutions. The project will also conduct needs analyses and tailored business advice to a large number of companies to increase the ability to restart, transition and innovation with a focus on digitalisation and sustainability. By the end of the project, participating companies are expected to have built up knowledge and increased resilience capacity. This is through an ongoing transition work where sustainability and digitalisation are fundamentals. In the longer term, this is expected to result in competitive companies that are fit for the current and future markets. Another result of the project is expected to be that the cooperation partners, Almi companies and the Energy Offices in tender, strengthened cooperation and established forms of cooperation where the region’s companies have better access to advice and coaching regarding sustainable business development.
