The project focuses on the challenge area “Smart Industri” and Östergötland’s area of strength “Advanced Materials”. Innovative Materials Arena (IMA) as the responsible actor will run the project and the purpose of the application is to continue existing activities and at the same time strengthen the areas of sustainability and gender equality. Region Östergötland and Sankt Kors Fastighetsaktiebolag are principals of IMA who are closely linked to the world-leading research at Linköping University. Starting from the work done so far, the project will further strengthen Östergötland as a leading player in the field and benefit companies in advanced materials. Further benefits will be drawn from IMA One, the physical meeting place, which can provide a basis for sharing both competence and equipment. IMA has also developed a digital sharing platform that demonstrates and enables sharing of both equipment and competence. The content of the project will be driven by the needs of companies, promote cooperation between companies and coordinate and benefit from other existing initiatives in the field, both regionally and nationally.
