The overall objective of the project is a sustainable, innovative and competitive Stockholm region with cultural workers and other small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism and tourism industry that are economically, digitally and ecologically stable for the future and a well equipped Coompanion within the business promotion system. The project’s milestones at business promotion level include the development of COVID-19-adapted new business concepts and services, increased digital use in customer contact, in-house meetings and in the offered product/service range, and increased turnover. In addition, milestones can also be mentioned on increased use of circular and climate-adapted business development models, and on the implementation of a digital collaborative platform for knowledge exchange and joint innovation/business development between participating companies in the project. The project also has sub-objectives at business promotion level aimed at developing and testing new methods to promote business development for the business target group, as well as increasing their own and other business promoters’ collaboration in supporting the business target group. The project is a collaboration project between Coompanion’s two offices in the Stockholm region, Coompanions Stockholm County and Roslagen & Norrort. The project intends to use needs-based advice, both in the form of group workshops and individual business coaching/advising. Furthermore, the project aims to promote business, networking and joint product/service innovation between participating companies by developing a digital collaborative collaborative platform designed to meet the common needs and challenges of the target companies. The platform is also intended to be available to the business target group after the end of the project. In order to increase cooperation in the region linked to the business target group among the promoters of the region, it is planned to invite to participate in a project reference group, and to take part in the experience and results of the project during ongoing experience meetings and in the final report/conference of the project. The project sees that women and foreign-born people are underrepresented in management positions in the target groups and therefore intends in its selection process to give particular priority to companies led by these two groups. Similarly, in its selection, the project also aims to give priority to cooperative-owned enterprises, as Coompanion has long-standing experience in promoting cooperatives and other democratically managed activities. Expected long-term effects of the project are that more cultural workers, as well as SMEs in the tourism and tourism industry in the Stockholm region, are innovative, digital, business development, economically and ecologically stable, which creates increased growth in the target groups as a whole.
