Increased digitalisation of startups in the field of sustainability and health.

The aim is to support innovative technology-based small and medium-sized growth companies in the Stockholm region so that they switch faster and make full use of the opportunities of digitalisation. The project’s goal is that a larger proportion of the target group’s companies survive the pandemic and gain increased competitiveness that allows them to grow and succeed internationally and thus contribute to economic growth. The project will focus mainly on growth companies in two sectors: Digital health and climate. The target group in the project is existing growth companies in the health and climate field but need support to switch to more digital and green development. In total, 245 companies are expected to take part in the project’s activities. All aspects of sustainability have a clear focus in implementation, from selection of companies for participation to follow-up and evaluation. Some of the project’s milestones: At least 60 % of the enterprises to be supported by the project must have minted a female co-founder. At least 45 companies in the target group shall be supported with recruitment for their expansion and for recruiting in order to improve gender and diversity balance. At least 45 companies in the target group should have received inspiration and knowledge, through workshops, on how to transform an existing product/service into a significantly more digital solution that becomes more accessible and contributes to reduced CO2 emissions. At least 45 companies in the target group should have undergone workshops on how to attract investors to their company. At least 45 companies must have received training on tools to calculate the CO2 impact of the company. The overall objective is that the region can continue to be an internationally leading and attractive, green and digitised metropolitan region with good competitiveness in a growing global competition in the wake of Covid. That the participating growth companies increase their contribution to reduced climate impact in society through the implementation of digital technologies.
