The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the power of change in the region’s economy by building strong growth and future-oriented leadership with a focus on transition and transformation, together with local and regional decision-makers. This will be done through increased understanding, improved work processes and increased cooperation around trend and future exploration, digital transformation and green transition, in order to better support business needs for sustainable transition. The activities within the project will consist of seminars and workshops and will include the development of methods and structural capital. Trend and foresight analyses are carried out in five strategically selected areas, which aim to support the business sector in its transition, and result in trend reports. More specific trend and forward-looking analyses will be carried out in the municipalities in the above areas, with clear action plans that are permeated based on sustainability aspects. Industry is included through an Advisoryboard with knowledge in innovation, trends and transitions. The project will strengthen and develop the region’s promotion system through knowledge enhancement and cooperation, in order to see opportunities in sustainability-driven development and to increase understanding of companies’ needs for sustainable transition and ensure equal and equal treatment of companies.
