The municipalities of Roermond, Weert and Nederweert and EIA municipalities strive for a well-functioning labour market. A labour market in which labour supply and demand are balanced. The focus will be on young people and vulnerable groups who have suffered adverse consequences as a result of the Corona pandemic in terms of guidance, social contacts and employment. Municipality of Roermond, regional municipalities and partners have decided to work together to counter the impact and use the ESF REACT-EU grant. This project will focus not only on combating the consequences of the Corona pandemic, but also on cooperation with partners to learn from each other’s expertise. Activities are carried out by the collaborating partners to help clients as much as possible in paid employment. For the clients, individual consideration is given to what it takes to lead someone to work. The municipalities and partners use different pathways and tools, such as developing employee skills or training. The service is aimed at removing personal obstacles and finding paid employment. If a participant can start working at the same time, the trajectory may consist of a short professional-oriented training in combination with an employment contract. After placement there is the possibility to accompany the participant. This increases the chance that he/she will stay at work.
