Noorderpoort is a regional training centre with approximately 1400 employees. The organisation has a desire to reduce work stress and promote a positive, safe and healthy working environment. A new generation of employees imposes different requirements on Noorderpoort and vice versa there are developments in the organisation that set different demands on employees With financial support from ESF, the project ‘Healthy, Safe and Vitaal’ lays the foundation for a new approach to creating a more positive, healthier and safer working environment. This is not just about reducing work stress and as a result (long-term) absenteeism. It is important that employees feel invited to take a proactive attitude and act from there to increase the influence on their own work stress. This is in contrast to a reactive attitude and feeling of powerlessness too often. The organisation is expected to create a safe environment where the employee can perform healthy and sustainable. The management of employees and the dialogue between manager and employee are strongly decisive in this regard. This will therefore also play an important role in the project. With this plan we also want to face the different perceived imbalance of a temporary nature, e.g. caused by generational differences, a changed private situation, other tasks, etc. Measures to correct the temporary imbalance can be of great importance to maintain resilience and (continue to) meet the requirements set. Noorderpoort uses the expertise of VosOpmaat for the implementation. Based on desk research and interviews, they write an advisory and implementation plan. Then a pilot is carried out with a number of teams to try out this new approach. Based on a result analysis, advice is given for extension/deployment to the entire organisation.
