The Cluster Management of the Municipality of Leiden has the ambition to develop a proactive safety culture in the coming years. Vital human resources policy and good working conditions in the workplace are important priorities. In joint responsibility with the employees, the Cluster Management wants to work towards an improved safety culture as a fixed aspect of the day-to-day business. In this improvement project, security ambassadors and Operational Managers play a very important role. Not only in signalling dangerous situations but also when instructing their team members through toolbox meetings. In the project interactive toolboxes are developed in collaboration with 4 custom toolboxes, the security ambassadors and Operational Managers follow a training-de-trainer training and provide guidance and coaching during the execution of the toolboxes. By organising and offering toolbox meetings, the role of security ambassador and operational manager gets more content, they gain more visibility within the organisation and his colleagues are more likely to consult them if necessary.
