Barge Terminal Tilburg BV has grown exponentially over the past year. Both in turnover and in numbers of employees (more than 25 %). BTT BV is a young organisation, an organisation of doers and young and relatively inexperienced management. Due to the growth of the organisation and customers who are increasingly demanding the services of BTT BV, this increasingly requires the skills and services of its employees. The current organisation has a more informal culture. However, the organisation notes that employees, especially drivers, crane operators, shunts and drivers need more clarity and structure in contact with middle management. Middle management should better facilitate and shape this. This is an important development demand for the employees in their functioning focused on the longer term and therefore the sustainable employability within BTT BV. BTT BV wants to encourage employees to take their own development more into their own hands and at the same time help managers to facilitate this in a more structured way. In addition, she wants to encourage employees to develop non-company-specific competences, such as taking initiative, taking ownership and responsibility, ed. This will not only promote sustainable employability, but also mobility in the labour market. BTT BV aims to create a learning culture in which the development and improvement of talents, qualities, sustainability and employability are firmly embedded in its organisation so that employees can continue to develop better and more easily now and later. In consultation with her employees, she wants to determine how she can make learning and development simpler and more accessible so that learning can best be stimulated and developed. With the help of an ESF project in the field of sustainable employability, learning organisation and labour mobility, BTT BV wants to implement this in a sustainable way.
