Among researchers/academics, UMCG is a large group of employees who experience high workload and where the risk of falling out has been increased. UMCG launches this process to facilitate researchers and academics in their need for a targeted approach to prevent drop-outs. Through reconnaissance interviews, a comprehensive analysis is made of the current situation in which the employees are now. In doing so, the employees have the opportunity to express their personal needs within this process. On the basis of the reconnaissance discussions and the analysis of the external consultant, interventions are then developed by the external consultant, in consultation with the working group set up internally. The interventions are tailored to the specific needs of the staff. The interventions are then developed and rolled out in a structure within the target group of 300-400 researchers/academics who suffer from (too) high workload. This is a targeted approach consisting of various interventions that together create structure and lead to employees who can reduce their psychosocial workload and thereby prevent burnout complaints and failures.
