In Friesland, a package of measures aimed at active inclusion of PRO and VSO young people is being developed. We intensify employer contacts and improve the perception of practical education and its 1300 pupils. Greater involvement of employers and positive profiling of the target group will increase the labour market opportunities for vulnerable young people in a sustainable way. The measures for active integration shall consist of: — involvement of Regio Amplifiers, who support, direct, match and retain young people at work. — a TV documentary series that improves the (wrongly) negative imagery of practical education and its pupils. — Short work portraits of at least 3 minutes of former pupils made by a director and students themselves. In this regard, the profession of former apprentice is discussed in greater detail and employers are set up as ambassadors for other employers. — an online platform where both pupils and businesses can find each other more through the schools. — a final documentary which actively brings the target group to the attention of companies. — the employers are actually actively involved in a job market and in information evenings for internships. — an online platform with both information and inspiration for students and businesses. Afterward, Omrop Fryslân makes an extra broadcast for Fryslân Dok, the documentary program of Omrop Fryslân with weekly broadcasting time on NPO2. This employer approach with the commitment of Regio Versterkers, in combination with the TV documentary series, the online content and the online platform (Instagram, website, etc.), is a completely new process approach for the active inclusion of vulnerable young people in the Netherlands. The overall package ensures that we offer these vulnerable young people more employment opportunities, make them visible, empower and eventually become part of and participate in society.
