For VDL Steelweld, it is important that the individual knowledge of the employees is disseminated to other employees in the company in order to increase their sustainable employability. By using each other’s knowledge and disseminating this knowledge in the company, it is ensured that the employees achieve a higher level of knowledge and are therefore also much more employable outside their own function. This also ensures that there is also more variety in the work and as a result the workers develop further, which makes it possible to use them more sustainably. In addition, this will increase the vitality and health of employees. The better transfer of knowledge will also increase internal mobility and, as a result of better learning, will significantly reduce the level of stress due to the unknown nature of the various activities in another place. It also offers new opportunities for employees. The project is aimed at participating in the sustainability of knowledge and skills. Employees contribute to their own internal training. In this way we are continuously working on broadening or deepening knowledge. The organisation is able to facilitate employees in creating learning content. Together with the employees, the organisation determines which knowledge and skills are needed for sustainable employability.
