Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen

The Institute for Sport Studies is a partner for the field of sport and education. This means working together and learning together. The Institute is concerned with sustainable relationships. If partners are equal to each other, this leads to learning outcomes for all involved: the coaches from the field of work, the starting professionals and the trainers of the Institute. Partnership also means interaction and equivalence, taking into account the differences and a clear goal in mind. The focus is on providing opportunities for early-stage sports professionals to further develop. The organisation itself wants to be at the forefront of social innovation and innovation and wants to be able to transfer a positive learning culture to all stakeholders. That’s why the organisation wants to invest in its own employees and provide an environment with a clear and safe learning and development culture that inspires learning to perform and excel. In order to continue to professionalise and develop, it is necessary for the Institute for Sports Studies of the Hanseatic University of Groningen to build a sustainable organisation for the future. Not only does physical development contribute to motivating and inspiring students, but in order to remain at the top educational level, encouraging the sustainable employability of teachers and supervisors is of great benefit and added value. Within this learning culture, it is about maximising employee competences and talent and creating a culture in which engagement and taking ownership is the norm. The Hanseatic University of Groningen realises that this requires a cultural change in which employees have to adapt their mindset and behaviour through awareness and self-insight. The organisation wants to realise this cultural change and will therefore invest in its work organisation by using external advice to promote the learning culture for employees.
