Reason A failure on a regular MBO of VSO students is very high both at level 1 and level 2. This is explained by the fact that pupils with special personal characteristics are placed in an educational establishment that is not really intended for this purpose. Guidance, scale size: these are only factors that can hinder VSO students’ success. The collaboration with Marlijn Academie and BORIS states that VSO students can be successful in MBO courses and internships in recognised learning companies in the relative safety of their own school: — Marlijn Academy for the certification of MBO and training/training staff — BORIS for access to the labour market and as a methodology within the traineeships — Berkenhof college for education within MBO competences and language. This is a fundamentally different approach to the labour market-oriented end profile as defined in the WEC and the Educational Decree. It is expected that learning gains will increase, that participation in the form of sustainable labour will increase. Core of the project Working with MBO building blocks; is everyone working with a practical statement by means of training at the workplace — Assessment of results baptising the workplace This requires: — Training at the workplace — Assessment of results by the trainer at the workplace. In advance, it is important: — Selection of candidates — identification of the job opportunities Objective of the project The Berkenhof College has a transferable methodology as of school year 2018-2019 allowing VSO students from the labour market-oriented final profile to obtain, within a regular MBO qualification structure and using the BORIS methodology, diplomas and/or certification during their school period at the VSO and subsequently a sustainable place on the labour market. Expected result — Quality improvement — Increasing learning outcomes — Uniforming processes — Integration VSO — MBO goals qualification
