The municipality of Utrecht is constantly committed to improving the possibilities of jobseekers based on employers’ needs. The programme area of the Utrecht GTI — the Overvecht districts, Kanaleneiland, Zuilen, Ondiep — contains a relatively high number of jobseekers, including many socially vulnerable. With the help of ESF, the Employer Service Point is looking for job openings and job vacancies for these jobseekers. Initiatives in the city that provide an area-oriented integrated approach for these neighbourhoods and the neighbouring industrial sites complement this approach and also provide strengthening facilities for candidates. This makes it possible to link ESF deployment to ERDF initiatives.
