The primary objective of the research following the experiments in the Participation Act is to determine the net effect of the interventions on the outflow of welfare benefits to paid employment. The target group the research focuses on consists of assistance recipients. The expected size of the impact shall be based on the number of recipients of assistance flowing out to paid employment. In addition, the municipality aims to identify a number of important side-effects in terms of participation, well-being, health and debt. * The number of people outflowing from assistance to paid employment. In case of outflow to work, the type of employment relationship. In case of outflow to work, the level of net income. The outflow to other forms of participation, such as informal care, volunteering and training * The level of additional earnings in addition to the benefit. The extent and manner in which assistance recipients actively seek employment. * Differences in result between own management and trajectories under the direction of the Work Company. Having and the level of debt Secondary outcome measures in the field of well-being and health: * Life satisfaction, as well as in the field of various domains, such as income, social contacts and relationships * Experienced psychological stress * Subjectively experienced health * The number of general practitioner/specialist visits in the previous period (6 months) * The degree of medication use The research carried out in collaboration with Radboud University will lead to a research report describing the results of the project. In concrete terms, it should be shown how to speed up the flow of assistance recipients from benefit to (paid) work; with any additional positive side-effects for their well-being and health. Several treatment pathways are applied to three different groups of assistance recipients, after which the results are compared in order to decide on the effectiveness of the treatments.
