The municipality of Eindhoven is the centre of the municipality for the region together with the municipalities: Waalre, ISD de Kempen, Best, Veldhoven, Dommelvallei and A2 municipality the ESF section “Regional Employment 2017-2018”. The aim of the project is to ensure, in the context of the Participation Act, the fight against unemployment with the reintegration activities in the long term, which will eventually reduce benefits. Participants are encouraged through; learning pathways, training and coaching to strengthen their competences so that they gain a better labour market position and economic independence. Agreements are made at regional level and discussions on the results obtained will take place on a regular basis. The city centre of Eindhoven will provide guidance to ensure that the project period is monitored and the parties are encouraged to achieve the optimal results. The municipality of Eindhoven believes that this project is a good example of a partnership for the region. And that this also provides insight into each other’s policies for re-integration.
