Labour market region Central Utrecht has submitted a joint application for a grant from the European Social Fund (ESF). The ESF activities included in this application contribute to combating youth unemployment and guiding ESF participants into the labour market. ESF participants are young people, barriers to work, people over 55, beneficiaries of benefits for more than 6 months and status holders. ESF activities include, for example, a labour training centre, case management, language pathways, work training, job coaching and wage cost subsidies. The municipalities in the labour market region of Central Utrecht have entered into a partnership with the aim of generating the maximum subsidy amount for the labour market region. Are participating municipalities; De Bilt, Bunnik, Houten, IJsselstein, Lopik, Montfoort, Nieuwegein, Oudewater, Stichtse Vecht, Utrecht, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Vianen, Wijk bij Duurstede, Woerden and Zeist. This European grant will finance regional labour market projects. Regional labour market policies are under development. Work is carried out in the following three areas: 1. Working towards an inclusive labour market; 2. A regional action plan aimed at combating youth unemployment; 3. Improving the link between education and labour market. This ESF project contributes to the strengthening of regional cooperation and promotes an integrated approach to regional labour market issues and support for vulnerable groups.
