Municipality of Heerlen

The municipality of Heerlen strives for an organisation that is ready for the future and in which everyone is happy to work and gets the best out of themselves, supported by the possibilities offered for this and in line with what society demands of the organisation. In this context, sustainable employability is the key word. In our view, sustainable employability is the result of the interaction between requirements from the environment and organisation, in which the players involved each take their own responsibility and draw consequences from them, which lead to action. The key question here is: How do we ensure that we have professional skills, committed and motivated staff in all circumstances, we make as much use as possible of the qualities present and prevent personal problems in the long term. At the same time, the organisation wants to ensure that the development directions in the organisation are implemented.
