Municipality of The Hague

The Dutch government is using ESF 2014-2020 to promote the active inclusion of (old) pupils from practical and special secondary education. For this purpose, the past two school years have been carried out by schools for practical and special secondary education (hereinafter: the schools) invested heavily in the job management of their pupils. The co-ordinating municipality of The Hague wants to continue to facilitate this, but at the same time give additional impetus to the work management. ESF funds are used for some 1,485 (old) pupils to improve their connection with the regional labour market -structurally. The co-ordinating municipality of The Hague is thus in line with regional labour market policies which state that additional efforts are needed to structurally improve the integration of low and unskilled young people into employment. By investing in both the apprentice and the cooperation with regional stakeholders during the transition phase (the last 2 school years and the 2 years aftercare) it is even clearer how to shape labour management.
