THE RAPID SPREAD OF THE NEW CORONAVIRUS (SARS-COV-2) HAS LED TO A COMPLETE REORGANISATION OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM TO ADDRESS THE URGENT AND CONTINUOUS DEMAND FOR NEW BEDS AND SPECIFIC PATHWAYS FOR COVID-19 PATIENTS. IN THIS CONTEXT, MANY NEUROLOGICAL AND NEUROSURGICAL DEPARTMENTS HAVE BEEN CLOSED OR CONVERTED TO COVID-19 DEPARTMENTS AND THEIR SPECIALISTS HAVE BEEN DELEGATED TO MANAGE THIS DISEASE. THIS REORGANISATION, ALTHOUGH INDISPENSABLE IN ORDER TO COPE WITH THE EMERGENCY, SIGNIFICANTLY INTERFERES WITH THE CARE OF FRAGILE PATIENTS, IN PARTICULAR NEUROLOGICAL PATIENTS. PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES, IN FACT, ARE DEPRIVED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING REGULARLY FOLLOWED BY THEIR REFERENCE SPECIALISTS WHILE PATIENTS WHO, DURING THE EMERGENCY, ARE FOUND NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS WHOSE DIAGNOSIS AND/OR TREATMENT REQUIRE MULTIPLE SPECIALIST EVALUATIONS
