USING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE VIRAL GENOME SEQUENCE CHANGES IT IS POSSIBLE TO PROCESS PHYLOGENETIC TREES, IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT CASES OF INFECTION, SO AS TO ASSESS WHETHER THERE CAN BE AN UNDETECTED SPREAD OF VIRUS.IN CAMPANIA REGION, THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE GENETIC VARIABILITY OF COVID-19 WITH OBVIOUS CONSEQUENCES ON THE UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGEMENT OF THE CURRENT EPIDEMIC PHENOMENON. WITH REGARD TO THE DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS, THE USE OF SEQUENCING TECHNOLOGY THROUGH NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING ALLOWS IN ADDITION TO THE UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION OF THE VIRUS, THE ANALYSIS OF THE TYPE AND POSSIBLE VARIANTS OF THE VIRAL GENOME IN EACH ANALISED SAMPLE.THE PROJECT AIMS TO SEQUENTIATE THE COMPLETE GENOME OF COVID-19 FROM SUBJECTS POSITIVE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST (TAMPON) OF THE CAMPANIA REGION.THE DATA OBTAINED WILL BE INTEGRATED WITH EACH OTHER AND WILL IMMEDIATELY SUPPORT THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL EVALUATION ACTIVITIES CONCERNING THE
