COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (TC), AS A NON-INVASIVE IMAGING APPROACH, CAN DETECT SOME CHARACTERISTIC MANIFESTATIONS IN THE LUNG ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19 (CHUNG ET AL., 2020, HUANG ET AL., 2020). THEREFORE, CT COULD SERVE EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY FOR THE EARLY DETECTION AND FOLLOW-UP OF COVID-19, ALTHOUGH THE USE OF IONISING RADIATION AND DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS WITH OTHER TYPES OF PNEUMONIA POSE SOME RADIOPROTECTIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC/TRANSLATIONAL CLINICAL QUESTIONS. THE PROJECT IS PROPOSED, THROUGH THE USE OF CC.DD. ULTRA-LOW-DOSE CHEST (ULD) PROTOCOLS ASSOCIATED WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TECHNIQUES, EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND MONITORING OF PATIENTS WITH CORONAVIRUS PNEUMONIA.
