On 30 June 2020, the Municipality of Kazanlak concluded an administrative grant agreement No BG16RFOP001-1.024-005-C01 under OPRD 2014-2020 for the construction of 10 social housing units. This project aims to implement a second stage of integrated investments for vulnerable groups to integrate them into the labour market, improve access to education and training, access to social and health services, overcome negative stereotypes. At this stage, the integrated approach envisages complementary measures under four strands — employment, education, social services, change of attitudes. All activities are in line with the municipal plan for integration of Roma and other disadvantaged persons and the Municipal Strategy for the development of social services and support their implementation. The project plans activities under two operational programmes. The beneficiary and two employers, including one NGO, implement activities under OP HRD to improve access to employment, improve access to social and health services, overcome negative stereotypes. The beneficiary, four schools and three kindergartens perform activities under OP NSIS for additional activities with students at risk of dropping out, improving the educational environment, providing psychological support for children from minorities, supporting the continuation of education, measures for the participation of parents in the educational process and measures to overcome negative attitudes between communities based on ethnic origin and cultural identity. As a result of the activities will be achieved the employment, educational, social and health integration of disadvantaged persons, including persons of Roma origin, from the municipality of Kazanlak.
