In implementation of the sustainable urban development policy, this project proposal implements the approved Investment Programme of the Municipality of Pleven and includes eligible measures and activities under the Investment Priority “Social Infrastructure”, “Cultural Infrastructure” Group of Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” 2014-2020, on an object located on the territory of Impact Area II “Zone with public functions of high social importance”, defined in the IPPVR of Pleven. The project “Renovation, equipment and implementation of energy efficiency measures in Katya Popova Hall in Pleven” will contribute to the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development of Pleven for the period 2014-2020, with the envisaged measures having an additional effect and added value of already implemented investment intentions, as well as further improving the urban environment as part of an integrated and comprehensive strategy for improving the quality of life of the population of Pleven. The project envisages interventions related to renovation, equipment (furnishing), introduction of energy efficiency measures and construction of accessible architectural environment in Katya Popova Hall in Pleven. The planned activities will support social inclusion and ensure access for vulnerable and disadvantaged people. This achieves an integrated impact and synergistic effect through projects implemented in the past, as well as through the measures and activities envisaged under the other projects, part of the Investment Programme of the municipality, which concern interventions on the urban environment, social and cultural infrastructure, the development of integrated urban transport.
