The project proposal is aimed at continuing the process of deinstitutionalisation of childcare through the opening of 3 new social services providing opportunities for social inclusion and adaptation: Daily Support Center for Children with Disabilities and their Families, with a capacity of 30 daily care places and 60 places for consulting services, Community Support Center, with a capacity of 100 seats and 4 places for emergency accommodation and Observed housing, with a capacity of 6 seats. Social services will be revealed in infrastructure, whose repair/reconstruction and provision of material and technical facilities are financed under Contract No BG16RFOP001-5001-0047-C01, project “Together in support of the children of Kardzhali” Procedure “Support for deinstitutionalisation of childcare”, OP “RD”2014-2020. The main objective of the project is to support the process of deinstitutionalisation of childcare by providing appropriate social services in the community for children and young people at risk, including children with disabilities and their families, guaranteeing them life in a family environment and equal access to social inclusion services. The project activities include the selection and hiring of staff, the opening and provision of 3 new social services for children and families, the purchase of a specialised means of transport and additional equipment and furniture. The implementation of the project will lead to ensuring equal access to quality care and services for children and young people according to their individual needs, building skills for independent living and preparing them for inclusion in the life of the community, providing support to families of children with disabilities, as well as providing prevention services. The project proposal will contribute to the achievement of the main objective of the National Strategy “Vision for the deinstitutionalisation of children in the Republic of Bulgaria”, namely: “Ensure the right of children to a family environment and access to quality care and services according to their individual needs”.
