Summary The “framework project priority II“ is aimed at different institutions as for example German and Dutch municipalities, citizens, enterprises, cooperation associations and organisations etc., that wish to initiate and implement small cross-border projects, with the intention to reduce the barrier effect of the border for citizens and institutions. It includes the implementation of approx. 720 partial activities that are composed as follows : - approx. 72 small projects with a calculated budget of approx. 2,8 mill. €, - approx. 720 mini-projects with a calculated budget of approx. 0,6 mill. € The focus of the cross-border initiatives is in particular on : - Initiating future developments / projects in relevant fields of action / measures of the cooperation programme INTERREG V A Deutschland- Nederland, - Creation and strengthening of cross-border networks, exchange, meetings and common actions. Euregio Rhine-Waal as coordination point for the entire framework project has the overall responsibility for the content related and administrative implementation of the project. The decision on projects falls as well within its competence as responsible authority. The Steering Committee receives for its meetings an up-to-date overview of the current situation of the framework project.
