The cooperation established within the project aims to a clean environment in the cross-border area through the construction/reconstruction of sewage infrastructure. The project’s implementation will solve the partners’ common problems regarding poor quality of sewage infrastructure in the border regions. As part of the implementation of the project, a sanitary sewage system will be constructed on the both sides of the border, in Poland with the total length of 2,590 m and in Russia with the total length of 2,962 m. Additionally, the Polish partner plans to build a sewage treatment plant in Jamielnik, while the Russian beneficiary intends to construct a new sewage station as well as to reconstruct a sewage pumping station in Sovetsk. The created infrastructure will significantly improve the quality of life of the cross-border inhabitants covered by the project. It will also have an impact on improving quality of the environment and prevent from its further degradation. Joint implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening cross-border cooperation between the Polish and Russian regions in the protection of natural resources management.
