Partners of the VHS Cham project and the Czech school SOŠ and SOU Sušice have been cooperating across borders for many years and have already implemented a number of smaller and larger Interregs — projects with the target group youth and young adults. Cross-border practices, mutual visits, exchanges and workshops were implemented, common professional competences and language learning were developed and tested ((D — CZ, CZ — D). We would like to further develop and deepen this successful cooperation in the common living and economic area in the Sušice and Cham regions. In addition to deepening professional competences, collecting new experiences in a neighbouring country and learning each other about culture and language, we would like to place special emphasis on environmental protection and sustainability in occupation, school and society. This pivotal point is also new and will intersect as a cross-cutting theme with the whole content of the project. Planned content/activities: the practice of Czech pupils in Bavaria — a new concept. — joint two-day working meeting of Bavarian and Czech pupils in Cham and Sušice. — related preparatory trainings, working groups, courses to familiarise with work-specific language content (in particular environmental topics) and other skills (e.g. necessary social competences for both the profession and education). — processing of new learning materials for teaching professional language (work and ecology) language teaching (CZ and BY). small experiments and products on the theme of sustainability and environmental protection (constructive teaching). — study visits of school groups in Sušice and Cham. — workshop of teachers and lecturers of practice in Sušice and Cham. — workshops with experts, excursions. — creation of supplementary working materials (addition of industry content in the field of sustainability and environmental protection in CZ and N, as well as information about companies and practices posted on the existing website www.cham-susice.eu. Presentation of cooperation (Powerpoint). Target groups: Youth and young adults (also partly socially disadvantaged) on the threshold of school-to-work transition, as well as lecturers and teachers of both schools. The aim of the project is cross-border professional experience, overcoming language barriers, getting to know different systems of vocational training and socio-cultural dates, developing and implementing measures promoting sustainability and the environment in the profession, school, society, and private life. Added value: Young people from the Czech Republic and Bavaria will be provided with up-to-date competences and educational topics that they will be able to use in their profession and everyday life. This will also help them take advantage of the opportunities offered by the common living, labour and economic space in border areas.
