The overall objective of the project is to reduce the impact of natural and health disasters and the foreseeable effects of climate change on the populations of the South-West Indian Ocean, which is part of the continuation of the 2015-2016 programme. Action 1: Promote the integration of natural and health disaster risk management into the national policies of the countries of the South-West Indian Ocean, in the context of climate change Action 2: Strengthening the resilience of the people of the South-West Indian Ocean to the risks of natural and health disasters and the consequences of climate change Action 3: Responding effectively to natural and health disasters through appropriate human and material resources Action 4: Strengthen the capacities of actors in the South-West Indian Ocean through the establishment of a regional centre of expertise, training and innovation dedicated to risk management and climate change
