For many years, the CHU de La Réunion has been developing and implementing cooperation activities with the countries of the Indian Ocean (Union of the Comoros, Madagascar, Seychelles and Mauritius). These actions are in line with the guidelines of the cooperation strategy carried out by the Regional Health Project adopted by the Indian Ocean Regional Health Agency in a context of regional integration. They respond to the expression of the targeted needs of partner countries. This collaboration, through partnership agreements, provides professionals with an openness to the different ways of understanding patient care. It also improves health migration. Finally, it calls into question the processes and procedures in order to renew their relevance. CHUR concentrates its efforts on a limited number of actions in order to be able to carry out them in good conditions, taking into account available funding and resources. The project aims to support the training of health professionals through cross-exchange of experience and participation in initial and continuing training schemes. It takes the form of training modules, practical courses in the services and training-actions, on topics determined jointly by the partners, where a strong support for the management of training is offered.
