Main objective of the project: enhancing the institutional capacity of public stakeholders (Voivodeship Hospital in Suwałki, Hospital in Mariampole and Alytus District Hospital) by increasing of cross-border cooperation of the health care institutions to develop better quality public healthcare services. The project is focused on supporting effectiveness and efficiency of Partner Hospitals in the Polish-Lithuanian borderland region through implementation of innovative management policy called "lean management" – Lean Healthcare. Main project activities: kick-off conference in Suwałki, closing conference in Alytus, Lean Healthcare w theory – cycle of trainings and workshops about philosophy of lean management in healthcare, Lean Healthcare in practice – purchase of medical equipment and devices, workshops „Academy of Lean Healthcare Leaders on Polish-Lithuanian borderland”. Expected results: 3 public healthcare institutions benefiting from cross-border cooperation through the improvement of management processes as a result of the implementation for the good and health security of the inhabitants of the Polish-Lithuanian borderland of an innovative management method in healthcare - Lean Healthcare. Main expected outputs: 3 institutions involved in CB cooperation, 324 persons having participated in joint trainings or exchange of staff, 10 organized events (444 participants), 42 pcs. of purchased medical equipment.
