The purpose of the project is to build a regional cycling link between the Municipality of Ptuj and the Municipality of Juršinci. A sensible, safe and comfortable cycling link will provide a federal connection of Ptuj with the neighbouring municipality, from which daily migration to the city takes place. The cycling link relates to the objectives of the Integrated Transport Strategy of the Municipality of Ptuj, which was adopted in 2017. The cycling link includes the area of the Municipality of Ptuj and the Municipality of Juršinci. This operation foresees the establishment of 11.004 m cycling link, of which 8.117 m will be newly established.
