The project area covers a total of 1 929.08 ha of forests and woodland in the area of the ecological network Natura 2000 of Karlovac County, in the area of the administrative municipalities of Tounj, Josipdol and Plaški. The main activities include demining of the total area of 1 709.06 ha, improvement of fire infrastructure by restoring 21.80 ha of fire averages with forest road elements (9.37 ha are located outside SMEs and 12.43 ha is already included in total demining) and biological restoration of forests and forest. Land at 210.65 ha, which will create conditions for structural and economically sustainable development and forest management, i.e. promoting forest ecosystem services through restoration, protection and improvement of forest productivity, stability and biodiversity.
