Biomass heat production — an energy installation forming part of the second generation bioethanol plant complex (BIIg) in ORLEN Południe S.A. in Jedlicz

The subject of the project is the construction of a unit producing heat from renewable sources, i.e. a biomass boiler with a rated capacity of 48 MW in Jedlicz. An element of the project will be the connection to the existing transmission networks of steam belonging to the project beneficiary (energy generator), which are supplied with technological and heating steam to the production facilities. The primary objective of the project is to secure heat in the amount of at least 190 000 MWh/year from biomass for the needs of the second generation bioethanol plant complex. The estimated amount of lignin used is 90,000 tonnes per year. reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, including CO2 is about 30,000 tons.
