The project consists of carrying out the necessary works to protect the historical substance of the building of the Municipal Public Library in Opoczno, the extension of the infrastructure with a summer reading room and the purchase of equipment, which will contribute to expanding the cultural offer and increasing the participation of residents in culture. The main objective of the project is to protect and develop cultural institutions by modernising the historic building of the Municipal Public Library in Opoczno. This objective is closely linked to the specific objectives set, which include: — Preservation and development of cultural functions in cultural institutions; — Protection and maintenance of the historic building of the public library; — Revitalisation of degraded areas by modernising the library building and developing the surrounding environment around the monument and strengthening cultural activities; Increase the participation of residents in culture. As a result of the implementation of the project, the cultural offer will be expanded and participation in culture will increase by 5.78 % using the cultural offer of the library in 2024 (a year after the end of the project).
