The subject of the project is the construction of photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 0.31 MW intended for the production of electricity ensuring maximum possible efficiency adapted to the needs of a given building and accessible, unshaded roof area, for twelve public buildings owned by Mielec Municipality, none of which have roofing coverings containing asbestos.The project will contribute to the use of small energy sources, located close to the customer, reducing transmission losses and ensuring an ecological effect by increasing the share of renewable energy in consumption (dispersed energy) and thus ensuring diversification of energy sources, as well as increasing the energy security of the region using natural conditions and local potentials. In order to ensure the proper development of the region and improve its attractiveness, it is important to improve the state of the environment, including air purity. An example of such action is the project, which assumes the use of renewable energy sources through the construction of photovoltaic installations on public buildings.
