The subject of the investment is the purchase of an HDR brachytherapy system supplementing the radiotherapeutic line. The HDR brachytherapy system consists of: 1. HDR camera with equipment. 2. A scheduling system with an appropriate dose distribution calculation algorithm. 3. A set of brachytherapy applicators. 4. Real-Time treatment system with equipment (Brachystepper with stabiliser, specialised software for planning brachytherapy in real time, needle set for brachytherapy, ultrasound for Real-Time treatments). 5. Treatment table and patient transport system dedicated to brachytherapy with the possibility of use in CT and MR. 6. Apparatus for anesthesia along with cardiomonitor. 7. Quality control kit The main objective of the project is to improve accessibility to high-quality health infrastructure. Specific objectives: • Improve the quality and availability of highly specialised and specialised medical services for the diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients; • Ensuring the continuity of highly specialised oncological services in one of the region’s key oncological treatment centres and improving the quality of oncological treatment through modern equipment — the HDR brachytherapy system; • Improving the quality of life and health of the inhabitants of the region and other people in the region; • Preventing worrying demographic trends and implementing measures to conserve labour resources; • Increasing the investment attractiveness of the region through the development of health infrastructure.
