The scope of the project includes equipping the European research infrastructure for aerosols, clouds and trace gases ACTRIS with the necessary equipment to provide high-quality data on the so-called short-lived components of the atmosphere. It is planned to expand the existing research infrastructure and expand research centers. The implementation of the project consists of the purchase of equipment to carry out research in the following research areas: Aerosol studies with remote sensing techniques Aerosol studies with in-situ techniques and laboratory studies Cloud research with remote sensing techniques Mobile research of atmospheric aerosols Modelling of atmospheric processes Research in the integration of ACTRIS infrastructure and ICOS infrastructure Multi-field research as a potential for R & D cooperation Co. will contribute to the realisation of, among others, the following research objectives: Assessment of the variability of the physicochemical properties of aerosols in the boundary layer, development of a new model of reconstruction of the daily mass of submicron samples of atmospheric aerosol fraction including water contained in the aerosol, and carbon speciation, study of long-term cloud coverage differences using identical cloud radars at different environments, improving the efficiency of RES by using high-quality data on the inflow of solar radiation at different locations, optimisation of meteorological model settings by assimilation of new sources of meteorological and atmospheric data.
