The project is planned to be implemented under Priority Axis 3 Energy efficiency and low-carbon economy in the region, Measure 3.4 Sustainable urban mobility and promotion of low-carbon strategies. The project will be implemented under Action 3.4 Sustainable urban mobility and the promotion of low-carbon strategies, diagram: construction and reconstruction of bicycle paths, in accordance with the Detailed Description of the Priority Axis ROP WK-P for the years 2014-2020, which aims to increase the use of public transport in cities and their functional areas. The pedestrian-bike path will run in the relation of the district road No. 1395C Biały Bór — Wałdowo Szlacheckie — Ruda on the section running through the towns Wałdowo Szlacheckie and Ruda. The project budget includes the following tasks: construction works, investor supervision and project promotion. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of a system of walking and cycling paths in the Grudziądz rural commune, characterised by lower availability of pedestrian and bicycle path infrastructure than urban areas. On a broader scale, the implementation of the project will enable results such as: reducing the traffic of motor vehicles, reducing CO2 emissions from the transport sector, improving the quality of the natural environment, improving the level of safety of road users, increasing the tourist and recreational potential of the municipality, increasing the coherence of the transport system at OSI Grudziądz and integrating the public transport system with pedestrian and cycling communication.The total value of the project amounts to PLN 1 440 213.09, including eligible expenditure 1 127 449.87. Under the project, ineligible expenditure includes part of the construction works (cultivities), investor supervision and project promotion.
