The subject of the project is the commissioning of the electric bus system in the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis. The project foresees the purchase of 32 electric vehicles (27 BN buses and 5 CN buses) together with 16 mobile depot charging stations 80 kW/40 kW. The necessary power infrastructure will also be created, comprising 9 fast charging points (11 stations). Purchased vehicles will serve the entire area of GZM, in particular lines in Gliwice, Katowice, Sosnowiec and Tarnowskie Góry. The project will be implemented as a pilot action, which is the first stage of the implementation of the zero-emission transport system in the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis. The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of public urban transport in the GZM area by improving the quality of the services provided and improving air quality by reducing the emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere from the transport sector.
